During the 3rd Congress of Development of Education System held on 2 October 2020 in the studio of TV Polsat in Warsaw, the European Centre of Education and Upbringing OHP in Roskosz became a prize winner of the contest EDUinspiracje (EDUinspirations) for the best educational project in the 2014-2020 perspective in the “Bilateral projects” category. The award for the project “Eko-Kreatywni” (“Eco-creative”) was handed by the Secretary of State in the Ministry of National Education Marzena Michałek.

The project “Eco-creative” was implemented in 2016 under the Polish-Lithuanian Fund of Exchange of Youth. The project included 24 people, 10 young people and 2 leaders each from ECKiW OHP in Roskosz and the Social Centre for Children and Youth from Lithuania. The main objectives of this project included: action for the benefit of nature protection, development of creativity, deepening mutual understanding among young people, encouraging involvement for the benefit of local society, promoting heritage, developing a sense of solidarity, tolerance and understanding for diversity. One of the results of the project was conducting recycling workshops during which ecological-recycling playground was designed and then built in the park in Roskosz. The playground includes, among others, a swing made from a tyre, a climbing rope, a noise wall, a water wall, an obstacle course, a tyre seat, a sensorial path “spiderweb” and a hammock. Thanks to the project, young people deepened their knowledge on natural environment protection and effective recycling, they could develop their creativity and ability to work in international society and they could also learn time -organising and strategic thinking.
