SHAKER project (‘Supporting attractiveness of medical and social care professions in regions’) with the financial support of the ERASMUS+ programme

Upon the decision of the Czech National Agency, the project  ‘Supporting attractiveness of medical and social care professions in the regions’ has been approved to be implemented and it has received the financial suport from the ERASMUS+ programme in the amount of over 160 thousand euro. The project will be implemented from October 2020 to March 2023.

Aimed at exchange of experience in supporting attractiveness of vocational education in health and social care, the Shaker project is an undertaking prepared jointly by 4 European regions: Moravian-Silesian Region (Czech Republic), Grand Est Region (France), Gelderland Province (the Netherlands) and the Lubelskie Voivodeship (Poland). In recent years it is the second project financed from the ERASMUS+ programme implemented by our region with partners from the Czech Republic and France.

The project involves also participation of vocational schools from the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Poland. Lubelskie Voivodeship is represented by the S. Liebhart Medical Vocational College and the College of Social Service Workers in Lublin.

Apart from supporting attractiveness of medical and social care professions, the project will also concentrate on tools, instruments and solutions facilitating greater numer of students and workers of this sector and on digital tools which may be used in vocational education and social care. Those objectives will be fulfilled by a series of exchanges conducted with officials, headmasters, vocational advisers, representatives of local labur market  institutions and healthcare entities from  the area of the four countries.
