BRIDGES project represents Poland in the publication of the Interreg Europe programme

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Interreg, the Interreg Europe programme has prepared a publication When Europe cooperates, regions benefit.

The publication is a collection of 30 success stories and presents the most interesting results achieved by selected partners from 30 European states participating in the Interreg Europe programme.

One of the success stories presents achievements of the Lubelskie Voivodeship in the Bridges project: Bridging competence infrastructure gaps and speeding up growth and jobs delivery in regions.

Lubelskie Voivodeship implements the project together with partners from Finland, Hungary, Greece, Slovenia and Spain. The goal of the project is to support the implementation of RIS3 in regions by investing in the projects financed by the UE funds.

The project was an occasion for the Lubelskie Voivodeship to get familiar with the methods and experience of other regions in strengthening regional bioeconomy. Thanks to a tool presented as a good practice in the project, an audit was carried out in 80 companies in bioeconomy sector from the Lubelskie Voivodeship. The aim of the audit was to evaluate companies’ readiness and openness to implement innovative solutions. Numerous actions were undertaken to encourage companies to be more active in applying for the support offered by the Regional Operational programme of the Lubelskie Voivodeship and other national programmes (among others, a series of meetings was organised for companies with the involvement of the representatives of research and development environment, criteria of the call for proposals for innovative projects were adjusted).

The publication is available here
